In keeping with French tradition, we place great emphasis on our evening meals and see each meal-time as an opportunity for our guests to sit together, recounting the events of the day whilst re-fueling for the next day's adventures. As hosts, we like to dine with our guests, whenever possible.
We provide optional home-cooked three course evening meals, including wine and tea or coffee. We aim to provide well-balanced, healthy and wholesome food with a regional flair, ensuring that your energy levels are kept to a maximum. We cater for vegetarians and any other special dietary requirements.
All of our ingredients are fresh, purchased to order and sourced locally. Our menus are therefore very seasonal and vary according to the produce available at the time of year.
Local produce that guests can sample during their stay with us, include:
- Barousse Valley cheese, purchased direct from the producer in Sost;
- home-made patés and charcuterie from a farmer in the neighbouring Nistos valley;
- lamb, pork and beef purchased from local farmers;
- freshwater trout, caught on the day.
