Many of our guests
have incorporated a running event into their Pyrenean visit for the
experience of it or as part of their training plan.
If you would like to enter any of the following races/ events
listed below (or any others not mentioned here), we can assist
with race entries and provide logistical support, if required.
Please note that to enter any running event, you must provide a medical certificate, dated within the past three months from your doctor stating that you are fit to compete in such an event. |

Trail des 3 Pics
5th June 2010- 48km point to point mountain trail race over the 3 peaks of
Paloumère, Cagire and Gar with 3,200m of climbing. Enter as
an individual (€18) or relay team of 3 (€48), including food during and post race meal. The race departs
from Arbas (40km from us) and finishes at St-Pe-d'Ardet (15km
from us). The 2007 winning male time was 7hrs 16mins and the
winning female completed the course in 7hrs 27mins.

Trail des Haute Pyrenees
13th June 2010- Our local point to point mountain trail race, starting 4km from
us at Mauleon Barousse and finishing at the beautiful Lac Genos.
50km of fantastic forest and mountain trails, amidst wild and
beautiful mountain landscapes - a paradise for any fell runner.
The race includes 15 summits and 11 mountain passes with 3,800m
of climbing. Race entry is €20 before 6th March and €25 thereafter. Please read our News Article for further information.

La Cremaillere
20th June 2010- Departing Luchon (630m altitude) and finishing at Superbagneres (1,800m altitude), over 5.4km the race includes a vertical kilometre. |

Montee du Pla d'Adet
31st July 2010- Departing from Saint Lary, this 11km road race climbs all the way to finish at the ski station of Pla d'Adet at an altitude of 1,680m. The average gradient is 8%. |

Course Des Fiances Mountain Trail Run
7th August 2010- Trail race starting in Spain (Sallent de Gallego) and finishing in France (Arrens Marsous). Choice of two distances: 35km or 55km.

Ronde des Fleurs
19th August 2010 -
10km road race held during the annual Flower Festival in the
spa town of Luchon. Entry fee is €6. |

La Grand Raid des Pyrenees
27th - 29th August 2010 -
Two courses are available: the Ultra Trail 150km or the
Grand Trail 75km.

La Panoramique
29th August 2010 -
Aptly named 18.4km road race starting in Luchon and climbing
1,170m all the way to finish at the ski station of Superbagneres.
Entry fee is €8. |

Raid Barousse
4th September 2010- Our local trail race, starting just a few kilometres from
us. This is a 60km ultra-trail race with 3,000m of climbing,
including the ascent of Mont Ne at an altitude of 2,145m. Entry
fee is €25 which includes a post race meal. |

Foulee du Plateau Lannemezan
30th October 2010- 17km trail race with a good mix of single track, wooded trails
and forest tracks. Great panoramic views of the Pyrenees mountain
chain. |
